She collects antiques from auctions, estate sales, and storage facilities. Mary obtained a degree from photojournalism and began working for Architectural Digest's founding editor Paige Rense. Later, she created the her own Mary Finds section. It was a series of videos focusing on renovating and decorating home interiors. In the time she relocated back to Texas she found a place to run her antiques store and began the business of her dreams. A&E Television producer spotted her running an antiques shop and offered her the chance to appear on Texas Storage Wars. Three seasons were spent on the series. As a result of her fame, she got a role as the first character of Storage Wars in its fifth season. Storage Wars seasons 5-12 have been seen on and off on the reality program.
